Personal data of hundreds of Australians have been posted online after it was stolen from Medibank, which is one of the country’s largest health insurance provider. Medibank suffered a data breach last month which affected 9.7 million customers. The hackers had demanded a ransom which Medibank had refused to pay. The personal data were released online after the ransom deadline have passed and Medibank said it expects the hackers to continue releasing more data to the dark web.
