If you’re a developer then you need to make sure you have upgraded to the latest version of Git. Git just patched two critical severity security vulnerabilities that could allow attackers to perform remote code execution. The security vulnerabilities were discovered as part of a security source code review that was funded by the Open Source Technology Improvement Fund (OSTIF). This is a corporate non-profit that is dedicated to securing open source apps that we all depend on. The article has a table listing all the affected and patched versions of Git.
