Google recently announced that it will be adding end-to-end encryption to Gmail on the web for its workspace users. Once enabled, it will ensure that any sensitive data delivered as part of the email’s body and attachments cannot be decrypted by Google. Users will also have the option to use their own encryption keys. The Google Workspace client-side encryption is currently in beta and organisations who are interested can apply for the beta until January 20 2023.
