Telstra just announced that it suffered a privacy breach which impacted 132,000 customers. The company is Australia’s largest telecommunication provider and has 18.8 million customer accounts, which is the equivalent to 3/4 of the country’s population. Telstra said that the breach was not due to cyber activity. It was instead due to a database misalignment where customer details were mistakenly published
