Latitude Financial Services, which is Australia’s largest personal loans provider and the country’s largest non-bank consumer credit lender has suffered a data breach. The breach impacted over 225,000 customers with around 100,000 driver’s license information being stolen. According to the company’s notification, they detected unusual activity on its systems over the last few days and believes that the attack originated from one of their major vendor. The threat actor then stole an employee’s login which was used to steal personal information held by two other service providers. While the public announcement was made available to all customers, those determined to be directly impacted will receive personal notifications.
