The CISO Sydney Conference was held on 20th and 21st February 2024 and I had the privilege to speak on both days.

For the first day, I was a panelist speaker at a fireside chat with Michelle, Pete, Elaine and Mona. We spoke about Cyber Training & Awareness and simple steps to improve accountability across the business. Each of us had quite different perspectives which made it an enjoyable session, and we also had a large number of questions submitted by the audience. Unfortunately we ran out of time and couldn’t answer all of them.

For the second day, I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on open source supply chain during the final speaking slot. It has been a long day and I was pleasantly surprised with the warm reception and thought-provoking questions from the audience!

The CISO Sydney Conference was truly enriching! Engaing discussions, insightful talks, and reconnecting with industry friends made it an exceptional experience. One of the highlights was meeting the 29th Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, to gain insights on his view of the cyber security threats Australia faces.
