Jake Moore from WeLiveSecurity wrote an article about him helping a friend who thought she might have been hacked by her Ex-partner. This is because the Ex knew specific information about her private conversations. Eventually it was discovered that the Ex was using the Drop In feature to the family Amazon Echo Dot, which she still has in her home and have not yet changed the passwords. The device does display a light and plays a sound when Drop In occurs, however the victim was unaware of what that meant and thought nothing of it.
